Video: Danielle’s Journey with Conversion Disorder

I used to be a Division One women’s hockey player. After suffering a hate crime because of my sexuality and severe PTSD, I was diagnosed with conversion disorder. It has been a long journey over the past few years, but I am pleased to say I have made significant improvements.

The purpose of this video is to raise awareness of conversion disorder. The detrimental effects of hate crimes, discrimination, and prejudices. The power of our mind, and our subconscious. The purpose of this video is to make positive change in how we treat one another. It’s to not sit back, but take charge and create a community that will work together to destroy the stigma of mental illness, and heterosexism.

Please share and please be kind to one another. We are all one.
